100 Day Positivity Challenge

Last Saturday my mother, sister-in-law and I started this Journal Writing Challenge. You have to write or draw about something positive in your life daily until April 30th. You can talk about anything: what you did that day, what you appreciate, working towards accomplishing a goal... as long as it is POSITIVE.  Sounds easy? Well for someone who prides herself on her ability to look at the bright side, it is actually been a challenge. However, I am on Day 12 and am now actively looking for pluses throughout my day (so I can have something to write about that evening lol). I have started back going to the gym after my hiatus (a whole other post that's soon to come) and have declared my goal of publishing my novel before the end of the year.  So Great Things Are Happening! Retrospect Thursday

Purple is Strength I started saying [this phrase] I believe about a year ago, I could be so wrong since in my mind processes time at different speeds... But I think it was about a year ago. It just popped into my head in a non-epiphany fashion. Just something to say when I saw my friends wearing my favorite color. I never really analyzed  or tried to justify it. And my friends just took it as fact or ignored my crazy ramblings all together. But it wasn’t rambling in the least or just a simple statement with no meaning. Retrospect Thursday

"The Art of Losing" Loss. It comes in so many ways. A loved one, your mind, the game. Most people focus on the negative aspects of loss. But not all loss is horrible... Loss of weight, loss of a fear, loss of bad habits. Those are all good losses. What about the bad, you ask? Well when you lose the game, you still have learned an important lesson on strategy. When you've lost your mind, you are so low you can't fall any farther, so why not be brave? When you've lost someone you love because of whatever reason, are they really lost? You'll see them again. And in the meantime, when things become overwhelming and you feel if only that person were near everything would be better: Close your eyes, take a deep breathe and remember the person is never really gone. They've told, taught you so much and you may not think you were listening or that you've forgotten but you haven't. It's still there, they helped make you you. They love you and don't wa...
